This year's November elections will include 4 BOE positions up for election. This information has been posted in local news publications, but the current BOE has asked us to post this info here as well in case people are interested.
Position #1 (Kirstin Wernecke) Position #2 (AJ Goeckel), Position #3 (Karla Ostermann) and Position #7, At Large (Grant Knoettgen) will be the board member terms that will expire in 2024.
If interested in running for BOE you must file with the Washington County Election Officer by 12:00 noon on June 1, 2023.
A person may become a candidate for election as a board member by any one of the following methods:
-Pay a $20 filing fee to the county election officer of the county in which the district is located
-File a petition with the county election officer, containing signatures of 50 registered voters of the school district or of the geographic area from which the board member is to be elected.

Congrats to the CCHS boys and their trip to state basketball in Dodge City. The boys play Thursday, March 9, at 8:00pm (see full bracket in the pictures).
To allow everyone time to safely get to Dodge City we’ll be dismissing school on Thursday, March 9, at 11:30am. No matter the outcome of the game there will be no school Friday, March 10.
CCHS boys will play for the substate championship Saturday, March 4, @ 7:00pm vs Blue Valley.
The game will be at Washington Co. CCHS cheerleaders will be dancing at halftime of the game.
